Christmas day, supposed to be a great day - but started out a little difficult. Mitch dropped the boys off, and they got to open presents. The kids loved their presents. We left to head to my mom's. Got on the road, and started losing control of the car, got spun all the way around, facing the coming traffic.. Then heading straight toward a hill on the other side of the road, so I told the kids to hang on, thought we were going over. Ended up running into an SUV coming toward me on the entrance ramp. Very scary. Couldn't believe that had all just happened. Was shaking uncontrollably, exchanged information & started again only to find out my car now has a weird thumping. I'm hoping it's just the alignment, and not more than that, but I will now need to get it looked at. Filed a claim tonight, and can't bring it in for an estimate until Monday. C/M are nice enough to let me use their car - so at least I will be able to get around. C, M & mom came over to my house instead. We opened presents to each other, and left for K's house for the big family get together, all in C's truck.
Well, at least things are looking better in other aspects of my life. First date was wonderful. Ended up sitting in coffee shop for 6 hours! Really turned out great. S is cool. So many things that we have in common. Set up another date for the next day. Went to dinner, played mini golf (I won!), and then went to TGIFridays where we played BINGO and talked more and more. Things are going really well, and I really like him. So cool to feel like things are going at just the right pace, and someone who is genuine, and understands where I'm coming from. We have another date set up for tomorrow. Since I'm sort of car-less for now, he's offered to come pick me up, and drive. We're going to see a movie, Avatar. Should be good - every one's saying it's a great movie.
We had a great time at K's house - very cute house in St Paul. Got to see most of the family. Really nice time. Kids had a good time too. Ended up being a pretty nice day after all.
