Saturday

I bought some new things for my house yesterday. Some new curtains for my room and Joe's room. The curtains in my room will match the walls now, since I painted them. A new rug for the entry way. Covers for the stove. When I got home from the store, I took Mustafa out for dinner at Red's Savoy - very good pizza! We had a very good time. Mustafa's going to a end-of-the-schoool-year party tonight. I'm going with my friend to watch UFC tonight. Should be some good fights.

My boyfriend's in California this weekend. I miss him so much! Went to see Death Cab for Cutie on Monday the 1st - that was really cool. They are great! We're going to see Gavin DeGraw on July 1. I know that's going to be amazing too! I saw him once at KDWB's Jingle Ball. He is a great performer, and a good singer / musician.

I was going through some old things this morning. Found the obituary for my father. This October will be 4 years - WOW! He was such a truly, amazingly gifted man. I feel like I learned so much from him, but was ripped off by loosing him so early. He was 68, and I was only 27. I wish I could have spent more time getting to know him, and learn from him. But I guess things are always so much easier in hindsight. It's amazing to me how things change so much as you get older. Perspectives, visions of the future, hopes and dreams. I still believe some of the things I did when I was a child, but so many things have changed a lot more than I could ever imagine.
